Fisheries acoustic training course

Simrad and MAREC will again join forces and arrange a training course in fisheries acoustics.

We have selected the nice coastal town of Tønsberg as the location of this year's 6-day training course.

The course will focus on acoustics terminology, calibration, survey theory, practical survey and survey analysis. Multifrequency data collected with the Simrad EK60 will be processed and analyzed by the Large Scale Survey System (LSSS).

Accomodation

We will all stay at the conference hotel. All hotel bookings (single rooms) will be arranged by us (room and all meals are included in the course fee).

Registration and fee

The training course fee is 25 000 NOK.

The fee and includes all course materials, accommodation and all meals.

Deadline for registration is 1 May 2010. The course fee must be paid by 15 May 2010 to secure your reservation. Minimum number of participants is 10 persons, and maximum is 16.

Laptop

We kindly ask you to bring your own laptop computer.

Travel

Recommended arrival is Saturday 28. August and departure Saturday 04. September. The nearest airport is Oslo Sandefjord Torp (TRF). You may also fly to Oslo Gardemoen (OSL).

You will need to go by train or bus to Tønsberg. Additional travel details will be provided directly to the participants.
